  • Do I have to use the USB drive that came with the sign?
To avoid errors when exporting and importing files we recommend using the USB drive that was included with the sign. It's possible to use a different USB drive, but you may experience issues if the drive hasn't been formatted properly. Formatting Guide…How to format a USB Drive To format a drive to FAT32, you can use the Windows File Explorer, Disk Management, or Command Prompt, depending on the drive size and your needs. Here's a breakdown of the methods: Using File Explorer (for drives 32GB or smaller): Insert the USB drive into your computer. Open File Explorer and navigate to "This PC." Right-click on the USB drive and select "Format." Under "File system," select "FAT32" and click "Start". Using Disk Management (for drives 32GB or smaller): Right-click on the Start button and select "Disk Management." Right-click on the USB drive and select "Format." In the format window, select "FAT32" from the file system dropdown and click "OK". Using Command Prompt (for drives larger than 32GB): Open Command Prompt as an administrator. Type the command format /FS:FAT32 H: (replace "H" with the drive letter of your USB drive) and press Enter. Using Rufus (for drives larger than 32GB): Download and open Rufus. Select your USB drive. In the "File system" dropdown, select "FAT32" and click "Start". Important Notes: Data Loss: Formatting will erase all data on the drive, so back up any important files before proceeding. Drive Size: If you're formatting a drive larger than 32GB, you might need to use Command Prompt or a third-party tool like Rufus, as File Explorer and Disk Management might not allow FAT32 formatting for larger drives. Alternative File Systems: If you need to format a drive larger than 32GB, consider using exFAT, which is compatible with both Windows and macOS.
